At the construction site of an apartment building, a large construction machine fell, smashing into a commercial building and parking vehicles.
An employee inside the building was seriously injured, and nearby residents evacuated quickly, saying they thought an earthquake had occurred.

A new apartment building site in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
The large construction equipment that was standing upright slowly fell over and hit the livestock building right next to it.
The two-story prefab building was torn like a piece of paper and shattered horribly.
The high-voltage line also sparked and completely cut off.

“Something banged and the power outage… We went out with each other. The electricity went out. So I thought there was an earthquake, and when I ran out, I saw that (the building) was collapsing there, and it was a complete mess.”
As the second-floor wall collapsed, debris that fell is scattered on both sides of the road.

“Something like shards bounced off and it was so big. Something like a bolt. So it (the bolt) broke the glass and went in.”
At around 9:30 am today at a new construction site in Hwangseong-dong, Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, a 45-meter-tall aircraft fell.
It is a construction equipment used to drive steel piles to strengthen the ground, but it was overturned as it was over the appropriate angle to erect the equipment.

In this accident, an employee who was preparing for business at the restaurant on the second floor of the Livestock Cooperative building was seriously injured.

In addition, six vehicles parked along the road were damaged and the electricity supply to the area was cut off.

“The loss of about 1 million won is due to the death of two large yellowtail over 10 kg, red sea bream, and various live fish.”
The police are investigating whether the apartment construction company is complying with safety rules and the cause of the accident.
