A landslide in southern China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region killed five people, China Central (CC) TV reported on the 19th.
According to reports, at around 7:30 a.m. the previous day, a landslide occurred in Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and the houses collapsed, leaving five residents missing.
The fire department conducted a search operation and found five people dead at the scene of the accident at around 7:40 pm that day.
CCTV reported that 5,970 people had been displaced by the afternoon of the previous day due to the rain in the area of Liuzhou, and 18 houses collapsed, causing an economic loss of 15.77 million yuan (about 30 billion won).
