Hornsby, who plays the complex and conflicted Charles Flenory, the patriarch of the infamous Black Mafia Family, not only stars in the series but also stepped behind the camera to direct an episode this season.”It was an unbelievable experience,” Hornsby says of his directorial debut. “To be able to see the world of ‘BMF’ through a different lens, to guide the actors and shape the story, was truly rewarding.”
Hornsby’s journey with “BMF” began with a phone call from none other than 50 Cent, the show’s executive producer and creator.
“50 called me up and said, ‘I’ve got this project, and I think you’d be perfect for it,'” hornsby recalls. “He’s a visionary, and I knew this was something special.”
Working alongside 50 Cent,Hornsby says,has been a masterclass in storytelling.
“He’s incredibly passionate about this story, about Detroit, about these characters,” Hornsby explains. “He brings a level of authenticity and grit that’s essential to ‘BMF.'”
This season promises to be even more explosive than the first, with the Flenory brothers, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, expanding their drug empire while navigating the treacherous world of organized crime.
