5th Annual ‘Little Wann Be Wow Rider’ Event Challenges Young Motorcyclists to Becoming Professional Racers

The Motorcycle Racing Association of Thailand (MSAT) Collaborates with the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) to Organize the “Little Wann be Wow Rider” Event for Aspiring Motorcyclists

The Motorcycle Racing Association of Thailand (MSAT) has joined forces with the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) and the National Sports Development Fund (NSDF) to organize the fifth edition of the highly anticipated event, “Little Wann be Wow Rider”. This event offers young motorcyclists from all over the country the opportunity to experience real race track training and take a step towards becoming professional riders. The event will be held at the Nimibutr Sports Building, National Stadium, from July 1-2, 2023.

Developing Skills and Unleashing Potential

As part of the event, national-level racing coaches have designed a comprehensive program to challenge the participants. The training includes theoretical sessions on racetrack driving skills, intensive practice, and first aid training. The participants will also learn about the proper use of brakes, accelerator, and vehicle control, focusing on aspects such as sitting position, hands, feet, knees, and elbows. Furthermore, they will master curve driving techniques, including turning, circles, and figure eights. To further enhance their driving skills, participants will engage in attitude adjustment activities conducted by life coaches, promoting safe and correct driving practices. This training aims to unlock the potential of the participants and pave the way for their future success in the industry.

An Unexpectedly Overwhelming Response

Ratchada Nakcharoensri, the person responsible for the “Little Wann be Wow Rider” project, expresses her surprise at the massive response received from young children all across the country in the first year of the project. So far, the project has attracted the participation of 25 youngsters representing various regions. Ratchada is thrilled by the overwhelming interest and hopes to contribute to the development of a thriving two-wheel industry in Thailand. In a remarkable announcement, Ratchada shares that those young participants who did not succeed in the previous phase of the project will have another chance. Through voting on the project’s Facebook page, five participants with the most likes will be selected to join 30 representatives from each field for additional training, before ultimately selecting the final two participants.

Promoting Road Safety and Creating a Safer Society

Alongside the event, a short film titled “For You” has been unveiled. The film aims to inspire and promote a society that prioritizes road safety. It emphasizes the collaboration between government agencies such as the National Sports Development Fund and the Sports Authority of Thailand to drive impactful projects. Recognizing the significance of safer motorcycle riding, Ratchada Nakcharoensri, the driving force behind the project, not only oversees it but also takes on the role of the main actor in the film. Announcing the Participants for the Fifth Phase

The five participants selected for the fifth phase of the project are Akkaphon Sribuaiam, Jariphong Sangketkid, Wichairoj Kongprom, Piyawat Sudcha, and Chumphon Boon Lom.

Participants of the event will enjoy special privileges, including the opportunity to attend the Moto GP World Championship motorcycle race at Chang International Circuit in Buriram Province in October. Additionally, the two standout participants will be bestowed with a royal trophy from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and Prince Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya. They will also embark on an exclusive trip to visit the BMW Motorrad factory in Germany alongside “Tan” Ratchada Nakcharoensri, an idolized motorcycle racer in the world of motorsports. As for the other participants, they will have the chance to experience the thrill of racing on a real race track for one day, while also contributing to society through CSR activities conducted in different regions.
