Six-Year-Old Indonesian Tourist Dies After Chinatown Accident
A six-year-old girl from Indonesia died on February 6, 2026, after being struck by a car in Singapore’s Chinatown, a popular tourist destination. The accident occurred at approximately 11:50 a.m. At a car park adjacent to the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple on South Bridge Road.
According to police reports, the girl and her 31-year-old mother were both conscious when transported to a nearby hospital. Sadly, the child succumbed to her injuries shortly after arriving at the medical facility. Her mother’s condition has not been publicly released.
The driver, a 38-year-old woman, was arrested at the scene for driving without reasonable consideration, causing death. Investigations are ongoing, police stated.
