7 got sick from the smoke while putting out the fire

Seven people were admitted to the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn Plastic Surgery for treatment due to smoke inhalation while extinguishing a fire at a printing factory on Kalshi Road, Mirpur in the capital. They were brought to the hospital around 12 pm on Thursday (May 9).

They are Sizaul Karim (22), Simon (20), Swapan Ghosh (36), Shafiq (39), Naeem (25), Rashedul Islam (23) and Ibrahim (23).

Hasib, a colleague who brought him to the hospital, said that around 4:30 pm on Thursday, a fire broke out while doing welding work in the printing finishing factory of 11:30 Kalshi Road, Plot No. 4, Avenue 1, Mirpur. There they extinguished the fire along with the workers of that factory and they got sick in that fire. Later we brought them to the hospital from there.

Inspector in charge of DMK Police Camp. Bachchu Mia quoted the doctor as saying that the condition of seven people who fell ill due to smoke is not serious. They are taking first aid under observation.
