70’s British Army Vintage Canvas Tote Bag IND_1599

This tote bag has been made by dismantling and reconstructing canvas fabric used by the British military in the 1970s.
It is painted khaki with black paint and then hand-drawn and stenciled in white ink.
You can also see it on the side of the gusset, but there are stitch marks left over from when the fabric was disassembled.
In order to make the bag, the fabric needed to be joined together, so this part had to be used as well.
This time, the handle of this bag is made from Polish leather.
The leather is very thick, about 3.4-3.6mm thick.
The leather surface has been lightly sanded to give it an exquisite sheen.
The hook on the bag is a Lift the Dot. There is a little trick to opening and closing it, so please refer to this video. (I can’t post a YouTube link here, so please search for “Lift the Dot” or “Tortoise Shell Hook”).
