8 Factory Workers Suffer Severe Burns in Devastating Incident, Rushed to Dhaka for Emergency Care
Sitakunda Shipwreck Factory Explosion: 8 Workers Sent to Dhaka for Treatment
Out of the 12 workers who were burnt in the explosion at the Sitakunda shipwreck factory, Chittagong, 8 workers who are in critical condition have been sent to the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burns and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka.
After this Saturday night, 8 burnt workers have been sent to Dhaka from the Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CHMEC) burns unit. The workers sent to Sheikh Hasina’s Dhaka Burns Unit in critical condition are Barkat Ullah, Anwar Hossain, Al Amin, Jahangir, Habib, Kasem, Khairul, and Ahmed Ullah.
The assistant registrar of the burn and plastic surgery department of Chittagong Medical College Hospital confirmed the matter. Md. Quader Rayhanul. He said that among the 12 workers who were burnt in the blast, the physical condition of 8 workers who were sent to Dhaka was critical.
Among them, 60-70 percent of the body of some workers were burned, and 80-90 percent of some workers. However, the remaining four workers who are being treated in hospital have suffered 20-30 per cent burns. Due to the explosion, the eardrums of these four people were ruptured.
