New Text and Phone Features
The upcoming changes introduce over 20 new text message options, along with interactive capabilities for both text messages and phone calls. These features aim to streamline appointment management and provide timely updates.
- More than 20 new text message options
- Interactive appointment confirmation texts: You’ll be able to confirm, cancel, or reschedule appointments directly from a text message.
- Interactive phone calls: Answering a phone call will allow you to confirm or cancel your appointment.
To receive text messages, ensure your phone number is listed as “Mobile” in your MyChart contact information.
What to Expect from Premier Health Communications
Premier Health will be utilizing new phone numbers and a consistent text message sender ID for communications. Texts will originate from 47031. Phone calls will come from (866) 206-7211, (866) 668-0592, (866) 272-5641 or (866) 274-9293, with Premier Health displayed as the caller ID.
Importantly, these changes will not affect any communication preferences you have already set. If you’ve opted in to receive text messages, you will remain opted in. Your preferences remain fully customizable within MyChart at any time.
Opting Out of Text Messages
If you prefer not to receive text messages, it’s crucial to update your communication preferences directly within MyChart. Do not simply reply “STOP” to a text message, as this will block all text messages from 47031 at the mobile carrier level, potentially impacting important health-related communications.
You can opt out of all text messages or specific types of text messages within your MyChart communication preferences. If you believe you may have previously opted out at the carrier level, or if you are not receiving texts despite being opted in, you can text START to 47031 to re-enable them.
Customizing Your Communication Preferences
Premier Health utilizes various communication channels depending on the message type, drawing from the phone number and email address in your electronic medical record. These channels include email, text message (SMS), push or app notifications (if you have a MyChart account), phone calls, and mail.
MyChart provides granular control over these preferences, allowing you to customize how and when you receive messages:
- Opt out at different levels: You can choose to opt out of an entire communication channel (e.g., all emails), a specific message category (e.g., appointments), or even individual message types.
- View your text message opt-in status: Easily check whether you are currently opted in to receive text messages.
- Opt out of all text messages: This can be done by toggling the text message channel type to “off” or by clicking the “Opt Out” link and saving your changes.
- Choose your preferred channel: Within each message category, you can access “Advanced Settings” to select your preferred method of receiving notifications.
MyChart empowers you to manage your healthcare communications in a way that best suits your needs and preferences.
