Washington, D.C. – The Society for the Rule of Law, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the Constitution and American democracy, is currently accepting applications for a Spring/Summer 2026 Legal Internship. The position, based in Washington D.C. With hybrid/remote options, offers undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to contribute to the organization’s mission and gain practical legal experience.
Founded on the principles of upholding the rule of law, the Society for the Rule of Law caters to a diverse membership including attorneys, law students, jurists, and legal professionals. Interns will be expected to dedicate at least two days per week to the role during the Spring and/or Summer 2026 semesters. The position offers a broad range of responsibilities, encompassing legal research, content editing, member outreach, webinar management, social media promotion, event staffing, and constituent engagement. Day-to-day tasks include researching legal topics, assisting with article editing, managing member communications, recording and posting webinars, promoting events through email and social media, maintaining the Society’s online presence, staffing occasional in-person events in the D.C. Area, and conducting outreach to faculty and students.
The Society is seeking candidates with a familiarity with the conservative legal landscape and its key figures. A legal background, coursework related to law, or a demonstrated interest in the field are also highly valued. Crucially, applicants should align with the organization’s pro-rule of law and pro-democracy mission. Strong organizational skills, the ability to build relationships, and a willingness to embrace new challenges are also essential.
