A driver with a blood alcohol level of 1.16 per thousand got behind the wheel with the police and drove away

The man was tested with the alcohol test device, but he refused to go to the collection of biological samples. When he found out that he had a criminal record, he got behind the wheel and drove away, but was stopped again in traffic, according to BZI.

“The policemen proceeded to stop the car and, as the driver exuded alcoholic breath, he was tested for breath alcohol, resulting in a blood alcohol level of 1.16 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air. It was also tested with the drug test machine. After testing with the device provided, indications emerged regarding the possible presence of psychoactive substances. We note that this is not evidence in the criminal case, the person being taken to a medical facility for the collection of biological samples, in order to accurately establish the consumption of prohibited substances. He refused the collection of biological samples”, stated Adina Ciobanu, spokesperson of the County Police Inspectorate (IPJ) Iași.
