A Father’s Worst Nightmare: Ambassador Reveals Shocking Discovery of Son’s Body Wrapped in a Carpet in Sheikh Zayed Apartment
Former Egyptian Ambassador’s Son Found Dead in Sheikh Zayed City
On Saturday, the Public Prosecution heard the testimony of a former Egyptian ambassador to Serbia, following the discovery of his son’s body in a residential compound in Sheikh Zayed City.
The former ambassador revealed that he and his wife reside in the fifth settlement area, while his 38-year-old son worked for a company in Saudi Arabia. The son had returned to Cairo approximately three months prior to the incident, where he lived alone in Sheikh Zayed City. He was soon to be engaged to a girl.
During the investigation, the father reported that he used a pry bar to open a door and discovered his son’s body wrapped in a carpet in the hall. The entire area was covered in blood, prompting him to call the police for assistance. The public prosecution and police force responded to the scene.
Al-Masri Al-Youm uncovered details of the prosecution’s inspection, which revealed that the victim’s residence lacked surveillance cameras, except for those at the gate of the residential complex. This limited the ability to monitor the movements of people entering and leaving the premises.
Investigations indicated that the Mercedes car, belonging to the victim, was missing. It is believed that the perpetrator stole the vehicle and fled the scene, also seizing the victim’s mobile phones.
