A miscreant set fire to the election office of Boat Pratik in Jessore

Miscreants set fire to an election office in Nauka Prateek in Jessore’s Keshavpur on Thursday night. The incident took place in Baisa Nurpur area of ​​the municipality. The chair and some parts of the pandal of the election office were burnt in the fire.

On receiving the information on Friday (29 December), the police visited the spot in the morning.

Municipal Awami League President and Municipal Mayor Rafiqul Islam said that miscreants set fire to 20 chairs and pandal clothes of the election office late on Thursday night. A written complaint will be made to the police station mentioning the incident.

In this regard, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Keshabpur Police Station Zahirul Alam said, after receiving the information, the incident site has been visited. If complaints are received, legal action will be taken after investigation.

It is to be noted that in Jessore-6 (Keshabpur) constituency, the current Member of Parliament and District Awami League General Secretary Shaheen Chakladar is contesting in the Awami League nominated boat symbol.
