A Brazilian woman from the city of Belo Horizonte, who wanted to buy two iPhone 15 Pro Max smartphones at an affordable price, got a shock after meeting the person who was supposed to sell them to her.
She said that she found the advertisement published by the man on the Internet, in which he claimed that he was selling the two mobile phones. And since she and her husband needed new phones, she decided to contact the seller, and the seller offered to set up an appointment, according to metro.co.uk.
The woman claims that the individual seemed trustworthy and even gave her his own address, as she claimed, to meet and talk on the phone.
Thus, the victim and his husband went to the seller’s house and there was not the slightest suspicion when they arrived at the man’s home. They talked for a few minutes, and then he handed them the boxes where the phones were supposed to be, but his attitude changed shortly after.
More precisely, when the woman wanted to open the two boxes, the man threatened her, telling her that he had a gun that he would use.
“He told me: don’t open them, I have the gun on my hip. You don’t have to be suspicious, everything is fine, the phones are there. I couldn’t see what was on her hip, but I wasn’t going to pay to find out,” the woman said.
The man asked them to transfer 2,300 euros to him, and after they left his home, the woman and her husband discovered that clay in the shape of mobile phones was inside the boxes. Shocked, the two notified the Police.
Law enforcement opened an investigation and searched for the suspect, who was caught and arrested on April 25.
