Gastech 2025: Milan to Host Global energy Summit Focused on Security, Innovation
MILAN (AP) — Gastech 2025, a major international conference and exhibition centered on natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG), hydrogen, climate technologies, and artificial intelligence (AI)-driven solutions, will convene in Milan from Sept. 9-12. The event aims to address pressing issues surrounding global energy security and innovation.
A Hub for Energy Leaders
The 53rd edition of Gastech is expected to draw more than 50,000 energy sector leaders, policymakers, innovators, and investors. Organizers say the conference will provide a crucial platform for fostering collaboration and accelerating the transition to a resilient, low-carbon energy future.
strategic Conference to Tackle Key challenges
At the heart of Gastech 2025 is a strategic conference designed to address critical energy priorities. These include securing energy supplies amid geopolitical instability, accelerating AI-driven decarbonization efforts, and developing low-carbon infrastructure in line with COP30 goals. The conference will feature four key programs:
- Strategic leadership
- AI: Energy
- ClimateTech
- Hydrogen
These programs will explore the role of natural gas and technological innovation in building a robust energy system capable of withstanding market fluctuations and supporting global economic growth.
Confirmed speakers
The conference will feature more than 50 sessions, including roundtables, leadership panels, ministerial addresses, and on-stage interviews. Confirmed speakers include:
- Adolfo urso, Minister of Business and Made in Italy
- Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman and CEO of TotalEnergies
- Horacio Marín, CEO of YPF
- Jack Fusco, Director, President and Managing Director of Cheniere Energy
- Lorenzo Simonelli, Chairman and CEO of Baker Hughes
Showcasing Innovation
Gastech 2025 will also provide a venue for showcasing transformative innovations, such as AI-powered methane reduction tools and modular hydrogen electrolyzers. The event aims to connect stakeholders with deployable technologies, including AI co-pilots for LNG terminal design, carbon exchange platforms, and AI-enhanced carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) systems.
By bringing together financiers, policymakers, and innovators, Gastech 2025 seeks to overcome cost barriers and supply chain bottlenecks, facilitating the commercialization of new technologies that enhance energy security and promote large-scale decarbonization.
Building on Past success
Gastech 2025 follows a successful event in Houston, which drew a record 45,000 professionals from 156 countries and generated an estimated $27 million in economic impact. The Milan edition reflects the energy industry’s expanding focus on energy security and decarbonization across global markets.
Italy’s Role
The event is under the patronage of the Minister of Business and Made in Italy, in partnership with the city of Milan. Assolombarda and the Italian association of the energy and sustainable resources industry will also welcome participants.
As the global energy sector grapples with balancing climate goals and growing energy demand, Gastech 2025 aims to serve as a platform for collaborative action, uniting innovators, policymakers, and investors to shape the future of energy.
