Kang Ji-hwan’s probation has now ended, and the sentence has lost its effect.
The court ruled that “the incident of sexual assault on Kang Ji-hwan’s staff occurred in July 2019, and at that time, after his exclusive contract with his former agency, Company A, expired, there is no evidence to recognize damages for breach of his exclusive contract. obligations.”
However, Company A was acknowledged to be in a ‘joint guarantee agreement’ relationship with Kang Ji-hwan, which requires joint debt for the drama’s failure.
Meanwhile, Kang Ji-hwan was indicted on charges of violently assaulting one outsourcing staff member and sexually assaulting another outsourcing staff member while having lunch with the staff of Chosun TV drama ‘Joseon Survival’ at his home on July 9 , 2019. over
