Kochi: Uncertainty remains over the interrogation of Kavya Madhavan in the case of attacking the actress. Today’s interrogation did not take place as the Crime Branch informed that there was no technical facility at home for scientific interrogation. Kavya says she can only cooperate with the interrogation if she is at home.

Though it was decided to question Kavya Madhavan, the ambiguity regarding the location still remains. According to the crime branch, the house at Padma Sarovar in Aluva did not have the technical facilities to interrogate Kavya. Questions should be based on scientific evidence, including forensic reports and phone conversations. The interrogation also requires technical assistance, including a projector. The crime branch is of the view that only if these facilities are provided can they go home and be questioned. Or the crime branch says it could have informed Kavya of another appropriate place.

But Kavya says she can only cooperate with the interrogation if she is at home. Kavya replied to the Crime Branch that she was the only witness in the case and had a legal right to choose the appropriate place. With this, the decision to question Kavyamadhavan remains in limbo. The crime branch is of the view that witnesses including Kavya are not cooperating with the interrogation. According to the Crime Branch, Kavya was trying to avoid questioning on the basis of scientific evidence. The court will be informed about this.

Meanwhile, Dileep’s brother Anoop and sister’s husband Sooraj did not appear for questioning at the Aluva Police Club. He did not appear for questioning citing the fact that he did not receive the notice of the crime branch. The crime branch had issued a notice at the house of the two. The court has directed to complete the investigation and submit the report by April 18. Delays in questioning witnesses, including Kavya, may lead to more time to complete the investigation.
