While news broke that actress Kim Ji-won had bought a building in Gangnam, her agency said it could not confirm the news.
On the 19th, Hijium Studio, her agency, stated its position regarding Kim Ji-won’s purchase of the building, saying, “It is difficult to confirm due to the artist’s personal matters.”
On this day, a media outlet reported that Kim Ji-won bought a building in Gangnam-gu, Seoul for 6.3 billion won in June 2021. According to the media, Kim Ji-won is said to have bought the building in the name of Jiwon Entertainment Co., Ltd., of which she is executive director and CEO. It is explained that the purchase would have been worth approximately 6.7 billion won, including acquisition tax, legal fees, and brokerage costs.
The building in question is known to have three floors from basement level to ground floor, and only the fourth and fifth floors, which used to be residential, have been refitted as living facilities in the neighbourhood.
Kim Ji-won is currently appearing in the TV drama ‘Queen of Tears’. The drama starring Kim Ji-won and Kim Soo-hyun is currently enjoying popularity, with its highest viewership rating exceeding 20%.
