To assist with the transportation, a makeshift litter was constructed by fastening sticks to a chair, allowing the dog to be comfortably transported. The woman compensated the porters 980 yuan for their efforts in carrying the dog over a 40km stretch, which equates to approximately 11,000.

Differing Opinions

Following the incident, opinions were divided. Some criticized the decision to have the dog physically carried, while others commended the woman for treating her pet with the same level of respect and care as a human, even at considerable expense.
