Johnson & Johnson has announced the U.S.launch of Acuvue Oasys Max 1-day multifocal for Astigmatism, the first daily disposable contact lens designed for individuals with both astigmatism and presbyopia.

The new lenses integrate several of Johnson & Johnson’s technologies, including Blink Stabilized Design, which helps maintain lens positioning, and Pupil Optimized Design, which addresses the varying needs of presbyopia patients. tearstable Technology is included to promote hydration, and OptiBlue Light Filter is designed to filter 60% of blue-violet light.
Company studies indicate high satisfaction among wearers, with 95% reporting clear vision during daily activities, 87% experiencing clear vision while driving at night, and 92% noting all-day comfort.
The company also announced that Acuvue Oasys Max 1-Day for Astigmatism is slated for release in the U.S. and Canada this summer.
