A severe storm hit the central Adana district of Yüreğir, causing significant damage to a house in the Akıncılar District.
The two-story house suffered partial destruction of its roof and balcony during the storm.
Following a warning, the police and the 112 Emergency Health team were dispatched to the scene to provide assistance.
Upon arrival, the teams determined that the resident, 80-year-old Halime Derinöz, was not injured and took necessary precautions to secure the building.
Derinöz recounted her terrifying experience, stating that she heard a loud noise in the living room and was paralyzed with fear.
She expressed her gratitude to her neighbors, who rushed to her aid, saying, “I was able to leave the house thanks to the neighbors. I couldn’t even drink water because of fear.”
