The Huntington-Cabell-Wayne Animal Shelter in Huntington, West Virginia, is full. They have more dogs than space. To help these animals before winter, the shelter is trying to adopt out 50 dogs in just five days.
To encourage adoptions, the shelter is offering a special price of $50 per dog. This is a discount of over $75 from the regular fees of $125 for dogs and $175 for puppies. Andrea Parkins from the shelter explained that even the regular prices do not cover all the care the dogs receive. The goal is to find homes for these dogs and reduce their costs.
