The Hong Kong South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported on the 27th that AeroHT, which is affiliated with Chinese electric vehicle company Xiaopeng, plans to start selling flying cars for orders in the fourth quarter of this year.

AeroHT, managed by Xiaopeng co-founder and CEO He Xiaopeng, told SCMP the previous day, “We are getting closer to airworthiness certification (safe flight performance certification).”

However, the exact release date and price range were not revealed.

AeroHT started developing electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) 10 years ago.

CEO He said at a press briefing at the Beijing Auto Show on the 25th, “Vertical take-off and landing aircraft will enrich the lives of passengers by providing additional options for public transportation and allowing passengers to avoid traffic jams.”

Unlike other competitors who target corporate customers, AeroHT targets individual buyers.
