All Elite Wrestling (AEW) revealed plans for a new Unified Championship during Wednesday’s AEW Summer Blockbuster contract signing between Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada. The winner of their match at All In Texas will be crowned champion.

Tony Schiavone announced ⁢the new title would unify the International Title and the Continental Title. The ‍announcement preceded‍ a brutal ‍attack.

After ⁣the contract was signed, Don Callis⁤ disparaged Omega, who ⁤retorted that he knew all of Callis’ schemes. Okada than ambushed Omega, leaving ‍him needing a stretcher.Okada continued his⁣ assault, attacking ‍Omega twice more as he was being carried away, leaving Omega coughing up blood.
