AEW taped the April 25 episode of Collision on April 22 from Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Oregon, featuring several key matches and developments ahead of the Double or Nothing pay-per-view event.
The main event saw FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) accept a challenge from Adam Copeland made on AEW Dynamite, proposing an I Quit match for the AEW Trios Championships at Double or Nothing. This escalated their ongoing rivalry and raised the stakes for the upcoming PPV.
In title action, the AEW Trios Champions Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, and Kyle O’Reilly successfully defended their belts against the Don Callis Family trio of Lance Archer, Hechicero, and Andrade El Idolo. Cassidy secured the victory by pinning Archer to retain the championship.
The AEW National Championship was also on the line, with champion Jack Perry defeating El Clon to retain his title. This victory continued Perry’s reign as National Champion heading into Double or Nothing.
In tag team competition, Sisters of Sin (Skye Blue and Thekla) defeated Persphone and Alex Windsor. The win came after Julia Hart interfered by blowing black mist into Persphone’s eyes, creating an opening for Blue and Thekla to capitalize.
The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, and Toa Liona) picked up a win over Chris Jericho and The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin), with Ricochet pinning Jericho to secure the victory for his team.
A major multi-man tag team match saw The Dogs (David Finlay and Clark Connors) team with The Death Riders (Daniel Garcia, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli) to defeat The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) and The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz, Myron Reed, and Dezmond Xavier). Clark Connors pinned Zachary Wentz to end the match.
In singles action, Kris Statlander defeated Becca, while RUSH picked up a victory over Adam Priest. These results added momentum to both competitors’ trajectories as they build toward future storylines.
The taped episode of Collision is set to air on April 25 at 8:00 p.m. ET on TNT and HBO Max, serving as the final major television build before the Double or Nothing pay-per-view.
