JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Former president Commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero) Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok once asked the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit prabowo to deploy Brimob troops to guard oil refineries in Indonesia when Sigit was still serving as head of the Criminal Inquiry Unit.
This story was revealed by Ahok during a corruption trial regarding the management of crude oil while answering questions from the lawyer of former Director General of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Riva Siahaan about the impact of Supplier Held Stock (SPH) on PT Pertamina in the era of his client.
“So suppliers stock their goods. We pay after they are taken, sir. That’s the principle (SPH),” said Ahok at the Corruption Court (PN Tipikor) Jakarta, Tuesday (27/1/2026).

Ahok mentioned that the implementation of SPH has not been running properly.
As Pertamina currently still needs a very large area of land for oil refineries in Tuban.
“That’s why the trial near Tanjung Uban was a small trial. Well, I wasn’t satisfied.I wanted it big. Why? So that we don’t have any more sudden tenders, sir,” said Ahok.
“Why? Because our refineries are old refineries, sir. Sometimes the refinery can have an unplanned shutdown,” he continued.
