AiMOGA Robotics and Vietnam’s Geleximco Group signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement on March 30, 2026, in Wuhu, China, to establish a joint venture focused on the robotics sector. The partnership aims to advance the research and development, manufacturing, and application deployment of robots within Vietnam to build a localized robotics industry ecosystem for the Southeast Asian market.

The cooperation will integrate Geleximco Group’s local industrial resources, market network, and supply chain system in Vietnam with the experience of AiMOGA Robotics in the development of embodied intelligent robots and their application in various global scenarios. Vu Van Tien, Chairman of the Founding Committee of Geleximco Group, and Zhang Guibing, General Manager of AiMOGA Robotics, attended the signing ceremony.

Technical Integration and Ecosystem Development

AiMOGA Robotics is an intelligent technology brand developed through a collaboration between the AiMOGA team and OMODA&JAECOO. The robotics brand utilizes core intelligent technology systems migrated from OMODA&JAECOO’s driver assistance systems and smart cockpits.

The deployment of these technologies is supported by OMODA&JAECOO’s existing presence in 64 markets, which provides the necessary channel and resource guarantees for AiMOGA Robotics’ overseas operations. This expansion is described as an implementation of OMODA&JAECOO’s Technology for Good philosophy and a practice in the intelligent transformation of automobile enterprises across different scenarios.

The strategic focus on Southeast Asia comes as the region sees an increasing demand for intelligent solutions and robotics technologies, driven by the growth of global manufacturing and service industries and the advancement of embodied intelligence technologies.

Broader Industrial Context in Vietnam

The agreement with AiMOGA Robotics is part of a wider pattern of industrial collaboration for Geleximco Group, one of Vietnam’s leading comprehensive industrial groups. On December 8, 2025, Geleximco Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Shanghai with Leekr Technology, a Chinese provider of intelligent chassis system solutions.

That partnership focuses on deepening industrial cooperation regarding core components of intelligent automotive chassis to support Vietnam’s automotive manufacturing industry, particularly within the new energy vehicle segment.

Geleximco Group has engaged in significant infrastructure investments in the automotive sector. In 2024, Geleximco Group, along with China’s Chery Group and Omoda & Jaecoo Automobile Co., Ltd., invested $319 million to establish a manufacturing plant in Vietnam’s Thai Binh Province.

The facility is designed with an annual capacity of 200,000 vehicles and is scheduled to begin production in 2026. These combined efforts in robotics and automotive manufacturing align with market data indicating explosive growth in Vietnam’s electric vehicle market since 2024, with projections suggesting sales could exceed 1 million units by 2030.
