On October 21, 2023, the Air Force organized the departure of an Airbus 340-500 aircraft, commencing the third flight dedicated to picking up stranded Thai nationals in Israel. Led by Air Chief Marshal Phanpakdee Pattanakul, Air Force Commander, the initial group of 140 evacuees departed at 1:30 pm. Prior to departure, Air Chief Marshal Pattanakul led a briefing session on the action plan, providing encouragement to Air Force personnel and working personnel involved in this noble mission.

Flight 3 of the Royal Thai Air Force will traverse the airspace of Myanmar, India, Oman, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and make its long-awaited landing at Ben-Gurion International Airport, Tel Aviv, Israel. Remarkably, this revised route will allow the Thai people to reach their beloved homeland in just 9 hours instead of the previously arduous 13-hour journey.

With renowned expertise and exceptional capabilities, the Royal Thai Air Force has invited Lt. Col. Charoenchai Kangsamut to join the distinguished team of Air Force pilots as an advisor for this significant operation. Lt. Col. Kangsamut, a reserve force pilot of the Air Force and currently a captain of an A330/350 aircraft at Thai Airways, will play a pivotal role in efficiently executing the evacuation of Thai workers in Israel. The return journey is scheduled for tomorrow, 22 October at 10:50 am.
