A social media user’s post made three days before the death of Assaf Yosha Abdulaziz, a young boy known on Snapchat, has ignited debate online, according to Al-Marsad newspaper.

The user commented on a photo of a scorpion found dead inside the Abdulaziz family home. she stated the scorpion was a “consort” and warned against killing it, claiming it could lead to death or illness. She wrote, “the scorpion is a consort, and the consort is known for its biggest tail, God conceals nothing for them after what thay killed,” and suggested leaving it alive.

Assaf yosha Abdulaziz died on September 10, 2024, after drowning in a swimming pool.
