Riyadh: Portuguese world star Cristiano Ronaldo Al Nasser is out in the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League. Al Aini of the United Arab Emirates defeated Al Nasser and entered the semi-finals. In the match held at the King Saud Stadium, Al Nasr conceded in the penalty shootout. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a goal but Al Nasser could not win.
Al-Nasr were defeated by a goal scored by Al-Ain’s Soufiane Rahimi in the first quarter. In the second quarter, Al Nasr scored two goals in the first half to take the lead. Moments later, sub-super Al Shamsi scored for Al Ain in the 103rd minute. Al Nasser were awarded a penalty in the 116th minute for bringing down Al Ain defender Ronaldo in the box. Ronaldo himself took the kick and converted it into a goal. The score became 4-3 and the game was a draw.
With this, the game went to penalties. In the shootout Brosovic, Telles and Ottavio from Al Nasser missed the penalty kicks while Al Ain scored all three kicks. Ronaldo saw the target but Al Nasr missed.
