Al-Nasr Knocked out of AFC Champions League Quarter-Finals by Al Ain

Riyadh: Portuguese world star Cristiano Ronaldo Al Nasser is out in the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League. Al Aini of the United Arab Emirates defeated Al Nasser and entered the semi-finals. In the match held at the King Saud Stadium, Al Nasr conceded in the penalty shootout. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a goal but Al Nasser could not win.

Al-Nasr were defeated by a goal scored by Al-Ain’s Soufiane Rahimi in the first quarter. In the second quarter, Al Nasr scored two goals in the first half to take the lead. Soufane Rahimi himself scored both goals in the 28th and 45th minutes. Al Nasr pulled a goal back through Abdul Rahman Gharib in first half stoppage time.

In the second half, we could see the return of Al Nasser. Al Nasr took the lead in the 51st minute with an own goal by Khaled Isa. In the 61st minute, Al Nasr had a chance to take the lead. But with only the goalkeeper ahead, Cristiano Ronaldo’s shot went wide.

In the 72nd minute, Brazilian left back Alex Telles scored a free kick to give Al Nasser the lead. The game went to overtime. But Ayman Yahya, who came in as a substitute, had to leave after seeing a red card in the 98th minute, which was a blow to Al Nasr. Moments later, sub-super Al Shamsi scored for Al Ain in the 103rd minute. Al Nasser were awarded a penalty in the 116th minute for bringing down Al Ain defender Ronaldo in the box. Ronaldo himself took the kick and converted it into a goal. The score became 4-3 and the game was a draw.

With this, the game went to penalties. In the shootout Brosovic, Telles and Ottavio from Al Nasser missed the penalty kicks while Al Ain scored all three kicks. Ronaldo saw the target but Al Nasr missed.
