A 60-year-old female lawyer from Argentina was chosen as Miss Universe Buenos Aires. Miss Universe has abolished the age limit for contestants starting this year, creating a new pageant history.
According to the Buenos Aires Times on the 25th (local time), Alejandra Rodriguez (60) from La Plata won the championship at the age of 60 for the first time in the history of the beauty pageant. Rodriguez, a lawyer and journalist, came first, beating 34 participants between the ages of 18 and 73. In her acceptance speech, Rodriguez said, “I am happy to represent a new paradigm in beauty pageants. “I’m the first person in this generation to start this.”
