Ali Maaloul misses Al-Ahly’s group training and is content with a session in the gym due to the cold

Tunisian international Ali Maaloul, the Al-Ahly player, missed the team’s group training session this Saturday morning at the Touch Stadium, due to a cold that caused him to be unable to participate in group training.

Dr. Ahmed Jaballah, head of the team’s medical staff, said that Ali Maaloul performed a session in the gym today on the sidelines of training after being exposed to a cold, and that he will resume group training after his condition improves.

Ali Maaloul joined the team’s training last Thursday, after completing his participation with his country in the African Nations Championship currently being held in Côte d’Ivoire, which Tunisia exited in the first round before Egypt was eliminated in the round of 16.

In a related context, the head of the Al-Ahly club’s medical staff confirmed that the x-rays performed by Wissam Abu Ali, the team’s player, confirmed that he suffered a strain in the posterior muscle, and his treatment and rehabilitation program was determined to prepare him to return to participation with the team.

Jaballah explained that Wissam Abu Ali complained of pain in the back muscle, following the end of the training session that was held yesterday at the Touch Stadium, and the necessary medical examinations were performed on him to check on his condition and determine the extent of his injury.

Al-Ahly continued its training this morning at the Touch Stadium, in preparation for the match between CS Belouizdad of Algeria on February 16 in the group stage of the African Champions League.
