the annual Cinema Spring ⁣event, offering tickets for five‍ euros, has become a popular draw for film enthusiasts. The reduced price provides ⁢a significant benefit as regular ticket costs continue to climb. The event attracts a⁣ diverse audience, from patrons of smaller, family-owned cinemas to those who frequent large multiplexes.

One such cinema, Vog, a family-run establishment for 50‍ years in Grau-du-Roi,⁣ reported ⁣increased traffic during the promotion. One patron noted, I was going to pay ⁤with my ⁤subscription card, ‍and the person at the checkout told me that it wasn’t necessary because it was only five euros.

The cinema features a selection of French films and comedies. The discounted price allows viewers ⁢to see more movies. one frequent moviegoer said, Over three days, I come three ⁢times. ‍They⁤ added, I’m here to see ‘We Will Go,’ I saw ‘My Mother and Sylvie Vartan,’ and I also saw the film with Luchini. ‍The Cinema Spring event has reportedly doubled the cinema’s ‍usual attendance.

The operator of the cinema noted that the ‍reduced price brings people back and expands the spectrum of a ‍small cinema like us for people perhaps ‍who would⁤ not normally come.

Similarly, at Pathé Odysséum in Montpellier, a multiplex cinema, ⁤the same trend is observed. An employee, Karima, stated, ‍ You have several films that work⁢ well:⁣ you‍ have ‘Snow White’ which is very family-amiable, ‘My mother, God⁢ and sylvie Vartan’ which also does well, and ‘Mickey 17’ which is drawing a lot of viewers, so it’s a winner.

the number of spectators doubled over the three days, increasing from 10,000 to 20,000. Sébastien Rodriguez, a⁤ cinema director, believes the Cinema Spring event plays a crucial role.

This allows you to have a marker for those ‍who have not had the opportunity to come to⁤ the⁢ movies since the beginning of the year.

Sébastien ⁣Rodriguez, ⁣cinema director

It is to say that the cinema exists, that there are films,‍ it is always a collective moment, a very nice family moment to live, it allows you to‍ relaunch our activity, Rodriguez said.

With regular ticket prices sometimes exceeding 15 euros, seeing a film on the big screen can⁣ be a luxury for some.‍ The five-euro tickets offer a welcome reprieve for those on a budget. One young moviegoer ⁢said, It allows people who do not necessarily have the means to be able to come from time to time enjoying the cinema. Others⁤ take advantage of the offer to⁤ bring their families: We⁤ can take advantage of coming to the cinema with the family, so the price is very suitable, we are very happy. Some even indulge in extras: And suddenly, we⁢ take⁢ the opportunity to buy more⁣ popcorn, we have fun with popcorn and sweets.

following a strong year with 181 million admissions, specialists predict that cinema attendance will remain robust in 2025. While matching the success of films like A Little ⁢Extra Thing or The Count ‍of monte Cristo might potentially be challenging,⁤ the ⁢release of blockbusters such⁢ as Jurassic Park, Mission Impossible, ‍and Avatar 3 ⁤later in the year should help maintain high attendance.

The Cinema Spring event concludes this Tuesday, but moviegoers will have another opportunity to enjoy discounted tickets during the Cinema Festival, scheduled from june 29‍ to July 5.
