Composer and broadcaster Yoo Jae-hwan was caught up in allegations of composition fee fraud and sexual harassment.
According to a JTBC report on the 29th, Yoo Jae-hwan has been promoted through social media since 2022, saying, “I will give you songs without a composition fee,” but in fact, he received 1.3 million won per song. It is known that very few people have received the song properly by Yoo Jae-hwan.
After Yoo Jae-hwan became friends with people by writing songs, he asked them to lend him millions of prizes. There was also evidence that there were over 200 people in the work chat room and that it was difficult to estimate the extent of the damage.
In addition, Yoo Jae-hwan expressed interest in several women. In the KakaoTalk message released by Mr. A, Yoo Jae-hwan said things like, “Why don’t you start dating after sleeping for a few times?”
Mr A said, “I touched my body and did that. I said I was doing it because I like you so much, and that I could put my mother on the line and even God on the line to tell you my really mean it.”
Mr. claimed And when news broke of Yoo Jae-hwan’s recent marriage to composer Jeong In-young, he explained to Mr. A that “his half-brother” was his bride-to-be.
In relation to this, Yoo Jae-hwan said on Instagram on the 26th, “It’s true that a number of personal issues happened at the same time, and that I have health problems, but I didn’t intentionally try to cause financial damage .”
He continued, “The work on the song was in progress, but not finished, so I inadvertently avoided contacting them. If you need a refund, please contact me separately and I will refund after confirming the facts.”
As for the allegations of sexual harassment, she said, “It’s unfair. We were close enough up until now, so the conversation was only over 19s,” but she deleted the post immediately after it was posted, and now only explanation regarding trace composition fees.
The victims say they will file criminal charges regardless of Yoo Jae-hwan’s explanation.
