A supposed campaign video presents a Donald Trump who is capable of doing anything. How serious the video actually is is unclear.
Former US President Donald Trump shared a video on his Truth Social platform that presented him as “sent from God.” The short film says that Trump came to fight against a “deep state”, communists and “fake news”.
The video, produced by a fan, largely consists of clips from Trump’s public appearances and shows him as a hard-working, believing Christian and patriot. On the one hand he is a tough pragmatist, but on the other hand he is also an empathetic family man.
But the film deals with more concrete political issues. Trump is God’s chosen one for secure jobs, border protection and advances in agriculture and the military.
According to the US news portal “Business Insider”, Trump has long had a solid support base among evangelical Christians in the United States. Polls show that a large proportion of them actually believe that Trump was appointed by God to rule – even though he has never made it clear that he has a particularly strong faith. The fact that he shares the video suggests that he is serving the ideas of evangelicals.
