According to Amazon’s new layoff announcement, the layoffs will affect most Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios employees. Layoffs at tech companies in the US have been rampant since the start of Covid. As part of this wave, online retail giant Amazon alone cut more than 27,000 jobs last year, according to figures. Similarly, the company had cut jobs widely in 2022 and 2023. According to reports, this will continue in 2024 as well.
