US Presidential Election: Over 25 States Begin Voting

As of 7 a.m. Eastern Time, more than 25 states have started voting for the presidential election, according to CNN. The states that have just started voting include:

• Alabama (some polling places follow Eastern Time and will open at 7 a.m. Eastern Time, but most polling places follow Central Time and will open at 8 a.m. Eastern Time)
• Delaware
• Washington D.C.
• Florida
• Georgia
• Illinois
• Kansas (due to time zones, some polling places open at 8 a.m.)
• Maryland
• Massachusetts (city or town options open as early as 5:45 a.m. ET)
• Michigan (due to time zones, some polling places open at 8 a.m. ET)
• Missouri
• Pennsylvania
• Rhode Island
• South Carolina
• Tennessee (Polls with a population over 120,000 must open by 7 a.m. ET)
