An American female YouTuber, renowned for her content on parenting, has been taken into custody and charged with child abuse. Ruby Frankie, who had gathered over 2.5 million subscribers on her ‘8 Passengers’ YouTube channel, was reportedly arrested in Ivins, a city in southern Utah, on the 30th of last month (local time). The Associated Press and other sources confirmed this shocking development.

Frankie, a 41-year-old mother of six children, had risen to fame for providing parenting advice through her YouTube channel. However, earlier this year, her channel mysteriously disappeared from the platform, leading to rumors of family discord. Frankie subsequently appeared on a different channel.

The disturbing truth about Frankie’s parenting methods, which had previously sparked controversy due to their overly strict nature, came to light on the morning of the 30th of last month. A distressed 12-year-old boy, bearing visible signs of neglect, managed to escape Frankie’s business partner’s home and pleaded for water and food from neighbors.

The child had been confined in the partner’s house, and upon closer inspection, it was discovered that he had been bound with duct tape around his wrists and ankles. The police were alerted, and the child was immediately taken to the hospital for medical attention. The examination revealed that the boy had suffered from malnourishment, injuries on various parts of his body, and had been deprived of proper nutrition.

Further investigation led the authorities to discover another one of Frankie’s children, a 10-year-old daughter, also residing in the partner’s home. Reports from foreign media indicate that this child was also malnourished.

The police swiftly took action, arresting both Frankie and her business partner, Jody Hildebrand, on charges of child abuse on the night of the incident. It was revealed that Frankie had been using the trapped children as props for her YouTube videos until recently.

Currently, all four of Frankie’s non-adult children are under the custody of the Utah State Child Control Authority. In a social media post on the same night, Frankie’s eldest daughter, Shari (20), expressed relief that authorities had finally intervened, stating, “We have been attempting to alert the police for years.”

This isn’t the first time Frankie’s parenting methods have come under scrutiny. In 2020, NBC reported that she had faced issues with her 15-year-old son’s behavior, leading him to sleep in a bean bag for seven months.

It is clear that the arrest of this once-popular YouTuber has sent shockwaves through the online community, shedding light on the dark reality behind her seemingly idyllic family-focused content.

According to reports, famous YouTuber Ruby Frankie (41) from Utah was arrested on charges of child abuse in Ivins, a city in southern Utah, on the 30th of last month.

Frankie, a mother of six siblings, once became popular with content providing parenting advice on the ‘8 Passengers’ YouTube channel, reaching 2.5 million subscribers, but the channel disappeared from YouTube for some reason earlier this year and lose it.

Rumors of family discord circulated, and Frankie appeared on another channel.

The reality of Frankie, who had previously caused controversy by adhering to an overly strict parenting style, was revealed on the morning of the 30th of last month when his ragged-looking 12-year-old son asked other residents for water and food and ask for help.

The child was locked in the home of Frankie’s business partner at the time, Jody Hildebrand, and escaped through a window. Frankie previously created and operated a counseling related YouTube channel, ‘ConneXions’, with Hildebrand last year.

A neighbor who found the child alerted the police after seeing duct tape placed on the child’s wrists and ankles.

Police responded and immediately took the child to hospital for treatment. As a result of the examination, the child was malnourished because he was tied with a rope and suffered from injuries to parts of his body and was unable to eat well.

Police also found another of Frankie’s 10-year-old daughters at Hildebrand’s home. Foreign media reported that the child was also malnourished.

In response, the police arrested and detained Frankie and Hildebrand on charges of child abuse on the same night.

Frankie is said to have filmed YouTube videos until recently in the house where the children were trapped.

Currently, four of Frankie’s six children, other than adults, are in the custody of the Utah State Child Control Authority.

Frankie’s eldest daughter Shari (20) said on social media (SNS) the same night, “We’ve been trying to inform the police for years,” and “I’m glad they’ve finally decided to step out. “

Previously, in 2020, NBC reported that Frankie had a problem with the behavior of his eldest son, who was 15 at the time, and had slept in a bean bag for 7 months.
