Amiens North Quarter Festival 2026: Call for Participation

Amiens North Neighborhood Festival Seeks Local Participation for 2026 Event

The City of Amiens is calling for applications from residents and local organizations to help shape the 2026 edition of the Fête des quartiers Nord (North Neighborhood Festival). The initiative aims to collaboratively build the program for this annual event, designed for the inhabitants of the North neighborhood and the wider city of Amiens.

Each year, the Pôle d’Animation Territoriale de l’Odyssée coordinates the festival, bringing together all actors contributing to the sector’s life – residents, associations, leisure centers, social centers, and cultural structures. The festival’s objective is to showcase the resources of the territory, promote local activity and projects, and provide a platform for information and festive, intergenerational entertainment, fostering a spirit of sharing and conviviality.

The 2026 festival will take place on Saturday, June 20th, on Place Guynemer, next to the Safran, and will launch the “Été en Nord” (Summer in the North) program. The day will feature sporting, playful, musical, and festive activities from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

The Fête des quartiers Nord will be structured around three main components: sporting initiations and/or tournaments, a talent showcase stage – “Nos quartiers ont des talents” (Our Neighborhoods Have Talent) – and playful and festive animations.

The city is actively seeking contributions from local groups to populate these three areas. Organizers hope to create a diverse and engaging program that reflects the vibrancy of the North neighborhood.

According to city officials, the festival is a key event in the local calendar, providing a valuable opportunity for community engagement and celebration. The “Été en Nord” program, which the festival launches, extends the festive atmosphere throughout the summer months with a series of events and activities.

The call for applications is open until March 2nd. Interested parties are encouraged to submit their proposals or direct any questions to e.fontenier@amiens-metropole.com. The city hopes to receive a wide range of applications, ensuring a dynamic and representative program for the 2026 festival.

The festival builds on a tradition of community events in Amiens, aiming to strengthen local bonds and promote a sense of belonging. The organizers emphasize the importance of inclusivity and encourage participation from all segments of the North neighborhood population.

The event’s location, Place Guynemer, is a central hub within the North neighborhood, making it easily accessible to residents. The proximity to the Safran building provides additional facilities and resources for the festival’s organization and execution.
