An open day at the Burgas branch of the SU shows the possibilities of software programs and new technologies in music

The Sofia University branch in Burgas opens its doors on April 27 for all those who want to get to know in detail the training in multimedia technologies and sound direction. From 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the team of teachers in the bachelor’s and master’s programs of the specialty will be available for consultations. On site it will be possible to view the base for practical classes of the students, located in the heart of the Sea Garden, on the alley in front of the Summer Theater. The completely renovated building, whitewashed with a marine motif, has been a creative space for the first Burgas graduate of SU for a year now. The open day will provide an opportunity for an on-site introduction to the recording process. The immense possibilities of software programs and the development of new technologies that offer arrangement and processing will be presented by Prof. Adrian Georgiev – Deputy Director of the Alma Mater Branch, Assistant Professor Stoyan Bozov, who, in addition to being a teacher, is also part of the team of the legend of the Bulgarian pop music Vasil Naydenov and assistant Emanuela Krondeva, artist-instrumentalist, known to the public under the pseudonym Ema Crown. During the open day, Prof. Veselin Karaatanasov, head of the “Music and Multimedia Technologies” department, head assistant Dr. Marina Apostolova and the students, with the possibilities of computer software, will digitize a score by maestro Georgi Shagunov. A scanned copy of the original sheet music of the National Anthem of Independence has been kindly provided by the “State Archive” – ​​Burgas. Application for admission to the Bachelor’s program “Music Media Technology and Sound Direction” for the new academic year begins on June 13 and will continue until July 3. Those wishing to study the specialty in Burgas will be able to apply online for training, subsidized by the state (state procurement) and paid training. In the master’s programs “Musical art management”, “Audiovisual design”, “Audio production and mastering”, “Musical pedagogy – management of a musical formation”, admission begins in the month of August.
