Several of the players who were thought to have made the T20 World Cup squad ahead of the 2024 IPL season have been underperforming in the league. Openers Yashashvi Jaiswal, opener Rinku Singh, batsman Suryakumar Yadav, all-rounder Hardik Pandya and run-getter Mohammad Siraj are yet to reach their full potential. Suriya, the top Twenty20 batsman, has only 52 runs in three matches. Pandya stands with 131 runs and just three wickets in six matches. Rinku Singh, who forgot to finish, has scored 63 runs in five matches so far. Muhammad Siraj, who took four wickets in six games, has been dropped from the playing eleven.
