On the 3rd, the People Power Party’s General Election White Paper Task Force launched a survey to analyze the reasons for the landslide defeat in the April 10 general election.

That day, the task force sent a text message containing a link to the general election assessment survey to general election candidates, party officials, aides, and party journalists. The survey questions consisted primarily of ratings of political judgments, including appointments, commitments, organization, public relations, strategy, Yeouido Research Institute, and party-government relations. Each question was answered on a scale of 1 to 10.

Top questions included: “Overall, do you think our party did better than the Democratic Party in nominating candidates?”, “Do you think our party developed and presented a platform that took advantage of the ruling party premium?” that there was adequate support for regional characteristics in terms of commitments or selection of support speakers?” “Do you think this has been achieved?” “Do you think that our party responded well to the Democratic Party’s message of judgment on the government ?” an overall unfavorable situation, think that the fact that the Yeouido Research Institute did not share the survey results with the candidates actually helped the election campaign “etc.

Evaluation items were also included for former Emergency Response Committee Chairman Han Dong-hoon, who led this general election. “Did the Emergency Response Committee Chairman’s message and support campaign help the election?” the best system of Lee Jae-myung, Kim Boo-gyeom and Lee Hae-chan?”

There was also a point asking about the impact of issues relating to the Office of the President on the election. “The issue of increasing medical school quotas”, “The Big Wave controversy”, “The issue of external pressure on the Marine Corps Chae Sang-byeong investigation”, “Former Minister Lee Jong-byeong issues” seop and former civil society head Hwang Sang-moo’, ‘Issues related to First Lady Kim Kun-hee’ and ‘Vertical relations between party and government’ are listed, and each issue is related to the elections. They were asked to answer on a scale of 1 to 10 how much influence it had on them. There was also an item that asked: “Are you satisfied with the government’s response to the political situation and direction during the election period?”

The last part of the survey was an open-ended question that asked, “In what direction do you think our party should move to become a party that wins elections in the future?”

Rep. Cho Jeong-hoon, chairman of the task force, said in his introduction to the survey: “Now that the general election is over, people are watching carefully whether the People Power Party will dare to move forward through desperate reflection. and reforms. And no matter how painful the beginning may be, “It is about discovering with precision and courage the cause of the defeat in the last general election,” he said. He said: “Based on the responses, we will create a white paper that will reveal the future of our party, not the past.”

The task force plans to conduct a survey for a week and then release the results.
