Chunky Pandey, father and father of Bollywood actress Ananya Pandey, says he does not tell his daughter what to wear or not to wear. Chunky’s stance came in the face of strong trolls and criticism against Ananya over her dress code. In an interview to Hindustan Times, Chunky said that Ananya is now a Bollywood star and therefore needs to look glamorous.
“As parents, we never tell our children what to wear or what not to wear. The children were brought up very well and intelligently. Ananya is part of the show business today. So glamorous look will be required. We must proceed in the best possible way. You need to dress accordingly. I can assure you that there is a kind of innocence in my children. “I’m sure they can wear anything that does not look dirty,” Chunky said.
The troll started with the costumes worn by Ananya Pandey to promote the movie Geharaiyan. The black sheer dress worn by producer Apoorva Mehta for her 50th birthday celebrations has come under fire. Ananya was criticized by some for showing nudity to get a chance in the film.
Trolls tell Ananya that people are talking about you, for better or worse. Chunky says she knows how to laugh at herself and not take anything to heart after reading all this.
