The Supreme court of Justice of Bolivia overturned the 10-year prison sentence against former President jeanine Áñez on Wednesday, november 6, 2025, and ordered her immediate release. Áñez was convicted in June 2022 on charges of illegally assuming the presidency in 2019 following the resignation of Evo Morales.
