Mariners Extend Series Win Streak, Angels’ Trout Exits Early with Knee Discomfort
SEATTLE – J.P. Crawford’s two-run single in a six-run seventh inning propelled the Seattle mariners to a 9-3 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday night, securing their seventh consecutive series win. The Angels also saw Mike Trout leave the game due to discomfort in his left knee.
trout was replaced in center field by Jo Adell in the fourth inning after appearing to favor his leg while running out a ground ball in his previous at-bat. Trout, who has started in all 29 games this season, is batting .179 with nine home runs.
The injury adds to Trout’s recent history of missed games. He has played fewer than 100 games in four of the last five seasons, including only 29 games last year.

Prior to the game, the Mariners placed outfielder Luke Raley on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to Monday, with a right oblique strain.
