TTAM research institute will acquire substantially all ‍of 23andMe’s assets, according to a⁤ press release issued Friday. This agreement ‍follows an earlier bid from Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, a New York-based biotech firm, which offered $256 million for the company last month. ⁢Wojcicki made an unsolicited offer earlier in June, leading to a final round of bidding between TTAM and regeneron.

23andMe,⁤ once valued at approximately $6 billion, gained prominence for ⁤its at-home genome⁤ testing kits.
