Anthony Vaccarello Returns to Paris with Saint Laurent’s Autumn/Winter 2023 Fashion Collection

Anthony Vaccarello, the Creative Director of Saint Laurent, recently presented his latest fashion collection in Paris. This marked his return to the city after a four-year absence. The show, which took place during Fashion Week for the Autumn/Winter 2023 collection, was held at the Bourse de Commerce – Pinault Collection, a renowned contemporary art museum in the heart of Paris. The museum showcases contemporary art from the private collection of its owner, François Pinault, who is also the owner and founder of Kering, a conglomerate that owns several well-known brands including Saint Laurent.

The Bourse de Commerce is a historic building that dates back more than 250 years. It was once used as the Paris stock exchange and chamber of commerce before undergoing a renovation by the acclaimed architect Tadao Ando. Ando, known for his significant contributions to contemporary architecture, had previously collaborated with Pinault in transforming the Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana buildings in Venice, Italy into art museums in the 17th century.

For the renovation of the Bourse de Commerce, Ando designed a striking cylindrical room with a bare cement wall, where Saint Laurent showcased their new collection of shirt designs. Surrounding the room’s walls were black leather sofas from de Sede, specifically the DS-600 model, arranged in a row. The walls themselves were covered in a gray limestone carpet, adding to the sophisticated aesthetic of the space.

Adding to the ambiance of the show was a live piano performance, featuring compositions by SebastiAn, a frequent collaborator of Vaccarello. The music was arranged by Paul Prier and played by the talented pianist Charlotte Gainsbourg.

The color scheme of the building was carefully chosen to complement the clothes in the collection. The harmonious combination of colors and textures was visually pleasing, adding depth and interest to both the building and the garments. While the collection focused predominantly on men’s shirts, there was an intriguing blend of feminine elements incorporated into the designs. Models walked down the runway, bathed in the glow of circular lights that created mesmerizing patterns on the walls and floor, resulting in a captivating and dramatic visual experience.

The Autumn/Winter 2023 collection is now available for purchase at the Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello boutiques located at M Floor, Siam Paragon, M Floor, The EmQuartier, G Floor, Central Embassy, and M Floor, Icon Siam.

Anthony Vaccarello, Creative Director of Saint Laurent, returns to showcase his fashion collection. New to Paris again in 4 years. It is also a show on the schedule during Fashion Week for the Autumn/Winter 2023 collection. The location of this show is the Bourse de Commerce -Pinault Collection, a contemporary art museum in the center of Paris. It exhibits contemporary art from the private collection of its owner, François Pinault, also known as the owner and founder of Kering, which owns many famous brands including the Saint Laurent brand

This historic building, which is more than 250 years old, was once the Paris stock exchange and chamber of commerce. Before it was renovated by the famous architect Tadao Ando, who has left many important contemporary works in the world. Ando had previously worked with Pinault in 2006 to transform the historic Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana buildings in Venice, Italy, into 17th century art museums.

In this renovation of the Bourse de Commerce building, Ando designed a bare cement wall around the atrium to create a cylindrical room where Saint Laurent exhibited new collections of shirt designs. As for the chairs, visitors to the show could use sofas black leather from de Sede, model DS-600, mounted side by side. It surrounds the bare cement room walls which are covered with a gray limestone carpet.

In this show, there is also a piano performance to accompany the show. The songs used in the show were composed by SebastiAn, a songwriter who often collaborates with Vaccarello. Arranged by Paul Prier and performed by cool pianist Charlotte Gainsbourg.

The color combination of the building is in harmony with the colors of the clothes in the collection. This can be very good. That includes a clash in the variety of materials and textures available in the building. All of them can be combined in clothes as well. The clothes this time mainly focus on the attractiveness of men’s shirts. The gimmick combines the smell of women’s clothes. An image of models marching down the runway amidst lights designed in a show where circular lights bounce off the walls onto the floor. Thus helping to create drama for the overall picture in an impressive way.
