Apple’s iPad Roadmap Unveiled
Renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed Apple’s upcoming plans for its iPad lineup. According to Kuo, the tech giant is set to release a 12.9-inch iPad Air in the first quarter of 2024 as part of its efforts to make up for the absence of a new iPad release this year.
Kuo’s predictions also include a 10.9-inch iPad in early 2024, followed by the launch of a new iPad Air model with a larger 12.9-inch screen and a more powerful chip. This new chip is expected to go into production in the first quarter of 2024. Additionally, rumors suggest that the new iPad Air will feature an LCD screen, as opposed to the mini-LED display found in the Pro model.
Furthermore, Kuo anticipates the release of two new iPad Pro models in the second quarter of 2024, available in 11 and 13-inch sizes. These models will sport a redesigned body and incorporate the new M3 chip.
According to Kuo, Apple is planning to discontinue the 9th gen iPad, currently sold alongside the 10th gen model, in favor of the upcoming 11th gen iPad. He estimates that Apple will sell around 52-54 million iPad units in the coming year.
