But the court asked whether a temporary VC is not the same as a permanent VC and the difference is that the period is temporary. The court explained that the selection committee and the search committee should conduct a joint examination and select the Vice-Chancellor.
Meanwhile, the chancellor told the high court that those recommended by the government were not qualified to perform the duties of VC. There is doubt regarding the appointment of the Vice-Chancellor of the Digital University. Digital VC video cannot be tasked. The VC should be an academic himself. The chancellor argued that he was therefore proceeding alone.
