Aragon, Taiwan Companies Explore Synergies to Boost Economic Relations
Around 60 companies from Aragon and Taiwan recently convened in zaragoza to explore and strengthen commercial partnerships. the primary goal of the meeting was to solidify existing relationships and generate new business opportunities between the two regions, focusing on integral solutions for the automobile sector, bicycles, motorcycles and construction.
Aragon’s exports to Taiwan currently exceed 23.1 million euros, with meat and offal constituting the largest portion at over 17.3 million euros. Products of plant origin also contribute around one million euros. Other exports include food sector items like beverages and electrical equipment.
Imports from Taiwan to Aragon surpass 34.8 million euros. cast iron, iron, and steel manufactures lead the way at over 11 million euros, followed by machinery and nuclear reactors.
Taiwan also imports vehicles and tractors valued at over one million euros, a figure that could increase through new business opportunities identified at the meeting. The focus was primarily on the metal and mobility sector.
Approximately 100 B2B interviews took place during the event, which was organized by CEOE Aragón, THITLA, Aragon Exterior, the Aragon automotive cluster, and the Zaragoza metal Entrepreneurs Federation.
Specific products of interest included precision screws, high-strength tools, and maximum durability components.
Participating companies included Fersa Bearing/Bikone, Ebroacero, Mecacero event, RM Ingenieros, and Industrias Lotu. The Taiwan delegation concluded their visit with a tour of the Construcciones and Railroad Auxiliary (Cafr) plant in Zaragoza.
